Abstract

The purpose of this research is to detects the student’s achievement in understanding soil and fertilizers subject using cooperative learning model  with Learning Together technique for X  class of the students in SMK 1 Marioriwawo Soppeng  in Agronomy major. This is a Classroom Action Research; the approach that is stimulated student’s motivation  in doing research oriented to the nature, which has 25 students as the subject of research. Cooperative learning model  with Learning Together technique can be a method that encourages students to ask actively and to convey their opinion with the strong and accurate arguments. This research applies to the cooperative learning model  with Learning Together technique. Generally, this technique is oriented on dividing tasks and student’s individual responsibility in learning as a member of the group, each member of the group gets different tasks in order to build their own understanding in the theories and facts. From the results of the research, there is a significant of student’s achievement from the first cycle to the second cycle. It shows that the implementation of cooperative learning model  with learning together technique can increase student’s achievement in understanding soil and fertilizer subject at  X  class of the students in  SMK 1 Marioriwawo Soppeng in Agronomy major

Abstract

The purpose of this research is aim to know the influence of cultivating-media of combustion-soil a giving compost toward growth reaction, viability, and vegetables production. This research was used a complete-randomly plan that consist of three treatment included P1 with combustion-soil adding by 65.625 g (15 tons/ha) of compost, P2 with combustion-soil adding by 109.375 g (25 tons/ha) of compost, P3 with combustion-soil adding by 153.125 g (35 tons/ha) of compost, and a combustion-soil as a control. This experiment  was done three times until it was gotten 12 units of experiment. The data gotten were analyzed by using multifariously-examination analysis manually. The result of the research showed that the treatment toward P3 with combustion-soil adding by 153.125 g (35 tons/ha) of compost was the best treatment for a high-plant parameter, leaf number, and gross weight. While for viability, P1 was the best treatment with 100 % percentage of viability

Abstract

The cultivation of oyster mushroom (Pleorotus ostreatus) is not many expanded yet in Indonesia, either the exertion chance or the consumtion fulfillment of society. The objective research is to know the growt, production, storability, and the protein content  degree of oyster mushroom on the basic media of sawdust were mixed with some compositions of corn cob flour brand. The research was arranged on completely random design with treatments mixture of sawdust from jati wood with corn cob (15%,25%,35%) and brand (15%,25%,35%). Oyster mushroom growth were observed at seven days after inoculation. The data were analyzed by of Varian Analysis (ANOVA) and continued with Duncant Multiple Range Test (DMRT) on 5% level.Result showed that corn cob and brand were effective admixture to enhance oyster mushroom production. The optimal growth, production, and protein content is  found in the mixture of brand media with concentration 35% , while for corn cob  media with concentration 25% But for the storability of oyster mushroom the result showed that the corn cob and brand has not a significant influence

Abstract

This research is aim to know a work-development based on the supplying of nira nipah (sap of nipa palm) as a basic ingredient, production, labor, marketing, financial-feasibility, and work-development strategy. The subject of the study were 30 sap-incisor farmers and a palm sugar home industry in Pallantikang village. The feasibility analysis used were Benefit Cost Ration (BCR), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Break Event Point (BEP), and PBP (Pay Back Period) to know the feasibility of the work. SWOT matrices was used to build work-development strategy of the palm sugar home industry. The result of the study showed that the work-development strategy of a basic ingredient, production, labor, and marketing are suitably done in the research location. The financial-feasibility toward palm sugar home industry in Pallantikang village for the BCR, IRR, BEP (Unit), BEP (Rupiah), and PBP criterion is suitably done. Moreover, based on SWOT analysis, it is found a recommendation for this research that are increasing the operating income; work in cooperation with government to get a capital aid, tools, even training for the owner and the labors of palm sugar, and give a development and training for sap-incisors in order to not making ballo or fermented palm wine

Abstract

This research aim to determine the level of preference to the characteristic (texture, flavour, color and aroma) in nugget that subtitued with a seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii) and sago flour. Type of this research is a quantitative research with experimental approaches using a completely randomized factorial design consist of two factors, namely factor A is seaweed (control, 200g, 300g, 400g) and factor B is sago flour (control, 15%, 25%, 35%). All the treatments was tested as 16 treatment combinations. Each treatment combinations was repeated4 times that obtain 64 units experiment. The data of this research was obtained from the result of organoleptic characteristics test using hedonic scale scoring method. The results of this research showed the most preferred texture obtained in the treatment combination A2B4isformulation of 200g seaweed and use 35% of sago flour, the most preferred flavour obtained in the treatment combination A1B1is formulation of chicken meat with maizena flour or nugget control, the most preferred color acquired in the treatment combination A1B2isformulation 200g of chicken meat with substitued 15% of sago flour and the most preferred aroma obtained in the treatment combination A2B4 is formulation of 200g seaweed with substituted 35% of sago flour

Abstract

This is class action research which aimed to improve the student’s achievement in plant propagation vegetative subject especially in transplanting and cultivation material atthe X class  in SMK Negeri 3 ATPH Takalar. The subjects of this research consisted of 35 student’s. The data that has been collected; is analyzed using quantitative and qualitative data.  Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the aplication of Mind Mapping  method can improve the student’s achievement. The result of the pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle IIthat has a significant improvement. Before applying Mind Mapping method, the student’s average score is about 54.15 with standard completeness 17.14%, the value of student’s learning achievement in cycle I average  71,82 with standard completeness 71,42%,  but it is not fulfilled on the standard classical completeness 85%, so that it is continued to the cycle II. After reflecting on  the cycle I, a significant improvement of the  student’s achievement in the cycle II increase average score 79.04 with standard completeness 91.42%. In the other words, the student’s achievement is fulfilled on minimal completenessstandard and classical completeness standard > 85%

Abstract

Fishing isone of thepotential protein sectorsof Indonesian society. Fishery productsis easilydamagedbecause they have high water content, it make a suitableplaceforbreedingof microorganismsandspoilage bacteria, so it is necessaryto do processing, one of which isprocessed intosalted fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of change in water content, protein content, and organoleptic test catfish by drying using a cabinet dryer with controlled temperature. This study uses acompletely randomized design, which consists ofa singlefactorthat islongerdrying8, 10, 12hours. Data analysis of variance(ANOVA) followed bya further testDMRT. The results showedthat thedrying timesignificantly affected themoisture contentchanges, protein content, andorganoleptic test. Based on the test results, fishery that treatment drying time of 8 hours has a 30,22% moisture content, 48,68% protein content, 10 hours drying time has a 26,62% moisture content, 51,20% protein content, drying time 12 hours had higher levels 19,64% of moisture content, and 55,00% protein content, the organoleptik characteristics and treatments that have the highest level of preference in terms of appearance and odor treatment contained in the drying time of 8 hours, and to sense are in treatment 12 hours drying time, drying time treatment 10 hours is a treatment that has the characteristics and preference level of the highest rated in terms of the texture of salted catfish produced

Abstract

This is a Classroom Action Research, to knowthe  increase of students achievement in vocational competency ofclass X ATPH I SMK 3Takalar. The research’s subject are 32 students in class X ATPH I SMK 3Takalar at 2014/2015.This research performed in 2 cycles and each cycle consist of 4 times meeting. The data connected frompre-test and post-test at the end of each cycle. Classically completeness in the pre-test 31,25%. In the first cycle student achievement increase 37.5%so that classically completeness become 68.75% and the second cycle students achievement increase 21.87% so that classically completeness become 90.62%. Based on the results, group investigation (GI) learning model can improve student achievement of vocational competency of SMK Negeri 3 Takalar

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to detecting the reduction of fat and moisture contents by application of osmotic dehydration system and acceptable concentration from the using calcium chloride (CaCl2) and also the connection between the content of water with oil absorption. This research is conducted with the experimental method by using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) for detecting the effect from the four concentrations of calcium chloride (CaCl2) are  0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%, and 2.0%  also with the control that do not contain CaCl2 by using vacuum pressure fryer. The observation of fat content is done after frying and the moisture content is done before and after frying. The result of the research is analyzed by analysis of variance and continuing by using testing HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) at 5%. The results shows that the reduction in the lowest fat content is detected in the concentration of  0,5% CaCl2 but for the moisture content does not have a significant influence

Abstract

This is a class action research. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the result of the student’s achievement in irrigation subject using cooperative learning model with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) technique on class X students of SMKN 3 Takalar ATPH1. The subjects of this research on class X students of SMKN 3 Takalar in Horticulture and Agribusiness Food Crops major with totaling 32 students consisting of 25 men and 7 women. The results of this research shows that the application of cooperative learning model with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) technique in irrigation subject on class X of SMKN 3 Takalar ATPH1 can improve the student’s achievement in irrigation. It is proved by the result of the student’s score in the first and the second cycle through the implementation of cooperative learning model with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) technique. The Student’s score average in the first cycle is 74.90%, while the classical standard reaches 65.625%. The implementation of the second cycle is increased with an average score 86.375%, while for classical standard reaches 93.75%. In another word, 30 from 32 students are in the completed category
